Trying to find a home in one week and from a 5000 km distance is not an easy task but when you have a good real estate agent, it is definitely feasible. We are glad that Travis was up for the challenge…. And what a challenge it was !!! We contacted Travis a few weeks before our house-hunting trip and provided him with a list of features we were looking for. Upon our arrival in Ottawa, Travis had a list of 30 properties lined up for us to visit throughout the week. Unfortunately, my husband and I became more and more discouraged after each visit that we made. What appeared to be nice homes on paper, turned out to be a disappointment. On day 6, our house-hunting trip was coming to an end. We were on our way to the airport to catch our flight back home when Travis called us on our cell phone… he had one more property to show us. We visited it, liked it, put in an offer, and decided to extend our trip an extra 4 days. Our offer did not go through, but Travis had found another property for us to visit the next day. Again, we liked the house and put in a verbal offer due to time constraints. In the meantime, Travis, who was still looking for properties in case that one did not fall through, found a brand new listing. The house had been on the market for approximately 2 hours (the sign was not even on the lawn when we visited it in the afternoon). We absolutely fell in love with it, especially its neighbourhood. While our offer on the other house was rejected, Travis drove us to the nearest REMAX office, started doing a search on comparables in the area and offered us valuable advice. We decided to put in an offer. After over an hour of intense negotiation with the seller, Travis informed us that they had accepted our offer of almost $20,000 below the asking price. That same evening at 10pm all the papers were signed and the house was ours. We could not have done it without Travis. He is professional, energetic, motivated and is a great negotiator. He understands the market and, above all, he understood our needs. He never gave up, even at the last minute. After having spent almost 7hrs per day for 10 days with Travis, we can say that we have not only gained a home on this trip, but also a friend. Thank you Travis for your exceptional work!

Travis made our selling experience so simple, straightforward and seamless that our house sold even before we realized the outcome ! His confidence, professionalism, honesty and hard work translated to the sale of our house at the list price within 4 days of listing. We tried selling our home through Grapevine, a private listing website. Although our experience with the potential Grapevine buyers was not that great, what we managed to do in the process was interview quite a few realtors for potential listing. Travis stood out among the top realtors with his excellent presentation, options analysis, honest evaluation of our property and setting up the right expectation. Dealing with Travis was one of the most enjoyable and positive experiences we’ve had in any service industry dealings in a long time.
